KEVIN MYERS BSc (Econ) FCA
Practice Director
Career
On graduating from the University of Hull with a Bsc (Econ), Kevin joined the local office of Price Waterhouse in 1989, qualifying as an ICAEW member in 1993. After leaving Price Waterhouse in 1995, Kevin gained further experience back in his home town of Sheffield, before taking the opportunity to “migrate” to the South and join the HB practice in 1997. Having first managed the Tax Department, Kevin progressed to Partner in 2005 and acquired the practice in 2011.
Work
Kevin provides a range of accountancy, tax compliance and advisory services to the SME and owner managed sector. The firm’s objective is to provide a personal, quality service in a cost-effective way to the SME sector. Our ethos is to do it in a professional way of course, but with a smile upon our face. The intention is to build longer term business relationships with our clients and to take away the stress of compliance matters but be that friendly ear when needed on life’s other matters.
Outside interests
Kevin is married to Mary and they have three adult children, Robert, Abigail & Thomas, 3 rescue dogs Aldo, Clover and Phyllis and a cat Wednesday. Fair to say where he sits in that pecking order ! Kevin’s free time is spent sat in the garden pondering all the jobs he should be doing. He is an avid but long suffering Sheffield Wednesday fan. He is a 6 music radio fan and with Mary they pretend to still be young by going to a few gigs per year, trying to stop the later joining the mosh pit.
